I am a big girl now - 29 Sept
ah well, i have always considered myself graduated already even before. Why? BY wearing a few times of the gown, trencher and hood in Melbourne have already made me a graduate.
the whole ceremony took place in Mutiara Hotel (formerly known as Hilton) and i received 3 bouquet of flowers from Jiun and my parents, they are awesome.
first they had a briefing for all the graduates, to line up in order and brief us the form of ceremony i.e. to acknowledge the dean and vice chancellor by touching the corner of the hood when our name is announced.
Somehow my eyes were filled with tears when the Australia national anthem was played. The memories were just playing back in front me, following one scene by one scene. The 18 months of Melbourne stay was absolutely the best time in life. Of course I believe there will be much more happiness lining up ahead.
Sweet enough my name was the first called, I wondered what purpose of the pronounciation slip for if the dean couldn’t pronounce my name properly. Intead of Mun Kit, he called me as Moon Cut ….Yeah, u laughing yeah? I remember I still wanted to correct him by reading my lips, still he couldn’t. anyway, the vice chancellor is so sweet. I suppose I was the one and only bachelor to receive his longest wishes when he awarded me the testamur. Thanks La Trobe.
A degree is just a degree, do not be complacent of where you are now. Everything that you have accomplished now is just another stepping stone to bigger success.
Wishing you all the best for your future undertaking.
