Tonight’s Menu

i become the cook, preparing home dinner ever since mom has left to Aus. Thank God Malaysian doesn’t like chicken breast, so its darn cheap here. hehe I don’t hv to de-skin and fats like what I had to do it in Melb. Nice and easy.

Okie, this is my dinner tonight which I prepared it all by myself. NO ONE HELP ME, NO ONE INITIATE TO COOK WHITE RICE, NO ONE WILLING TO GIVE ME A HAND. See, this is called family - shame to say - it’s Au Yong’s family but I’m not part of the self-centered members. Moreover, they will not show appreciation but to criticise on your food, i.e. Hey…why just veges? No meat ar? Why everytime also the same? Why this one so salty? U put too much salt ar? If you were me, would you still like to cook?

The last one is fried fiiisshhh fillet, marinated with curry powder. It should be nice!

author added: my dishes are definitely better than Mun Kit fella. :D check it out babe !

it’s up

i’m extremely hungry at this hour. after all, i have spent a few hours to do and redo the invitation or promote banner whatever it should be termed. So, it’s all good now.
and i realise the previous template look quite messy if it’s screened on a lower resolution. So, been thinking of my friends who still currently on 1024 x 768 pixels, maybe this layout would look more user friendly to them.

Malaysia Mandarin

I realise the forum at 8TV is useless for posting views and comments. No wonder it is called Your Crap Sheet :|

Fine, this is what I have posted there.
———————————————————————————————–
Cleo Tay has a good presentation in her program, good host with good spoken Mandarin. I am curious to know if guest speaker is selected carefully by its production team. I’m quite disappointed when I hear how Chinese in Malaysia speak Mandarin. Especially on the occasion when one is selected to be guest speaker, isn’t it a mandatory requirement to speak fluently and with correct pronounciation? I’m not pointing at the accent but pronounciation (han yu pin yin)alone.

I remember my media studies graduate friend went for an interview at 8TV station. She was not successful in applying the producer assistant position (back-end), reason given is she can’t pronounce the Chinese words correctly or you can say her Han Yu Pin Yin is poor. No chance given from them even the post is a back-end support. Well, if that is the reason to drop her application then what about the broadcaster who is in the front line? Can they play as a learning model to start educating our community to speak correctly?

Tell me what do you think when one cannot speak a sentence wholly in mandarin. It is a Chinese Mandarin TV program, hence it meant to be delivered in Mandarin!!! As simple as 1 2 3. Try speaking the same way to Chinese in China or Taiwan, see if they find your mixture of language amusing.

I don’t find it culturally unique in that sense. *agitated* >_<

another interview

I attended an interview at a bank today, a position held in the E-commerce department. Not Standard Chartered, not Citibank, not Maybank, not RHB bank…ok? I had to do a few test prior to the interview. I scored very badly in mathematic (4/10). I know I am not the material. However I do score well in the critical thinking part. muahaha…..

I just wonder what kind of questions will be asked tomorrow and whether or not I’ll pass the test.

“-_-

Hopefully I can start working by early next month.
