His Majesty vs Queen Elizabeth III

Errrrr… my liberty of doing only once a week household chores shall end by this Wednesday. Queen Elizabeth III is returning home from the Great Britain. That means weekly floor sweeping, vacuuming, mopping will become daily chores now. How can I ever cope with that? No, I must sit down and have a pet talk with her. There is no way I can still do all the chores after work. I know I will die straight if that happens.

Ok, actually I don’t miss QEIII cooking so much now as I have got used to eating outside now. Moreover His Majesty (HM), The Au Yong has already mastered in boiling soups, especially my favourite “Old Cucumber soup”. Mmmm yum yum. HM even called QEIII to Great Britain and told her he can make nice Bak-Kut-Teh. Eh, when I said master it really means something. HM will boil the ribs in a seperate pot to trash away the fats and bloods, after that only HM put them together with the ingredients to stew. So far, His Majesty has made us ABC soup, Groundnuts & Lotus Chicken Feet soup, Old Cucumber and Bak-Kut-Teh. His Majesty even knew know to make the soup taste better by putting a few small pieces of dried squids. \:d/

Anyway, HM has still a long way to learn from QEIII. QEIII can even make dried abalone (佛跳墙) soup.

佛跳墙

Ok, in case you don’t know much of our Chinese culture. Cantonese is one of the majority Chinese ethnics who love drinking soup. So, marry me if you like drinking soup. Eh, soup is healthy. I guarantee you don’t need anymore food supplement. Especially with the one prepared by a Cantonese, like me.

So much of advertising His Majesty, now HRH, Her Royal Highness - bow down to me you people.

I can prepare, stew soup pretty well too. Try me. :)

My Return With Questions

Woo Hoo! \:d/

I have finally returned to the blogosphere! Don’t really know how to write for my first entry, maybe still not fully recovered from the mixed feelings I had lately. My job functions is declared (no no, not announced officially yet) changed now. I hope I don’t have to buy another pair of specs after changing to a new role. I am going to face the LCD panel more than anyone else. That equavalent to 7-8 hrs a day and it is 33% of 24 hours. Well come and think of it, my risk accountability in kena rape/ kena rompak / kena tayar puncture may shoot down tremendously compared to my previous job function as I had to drive out jalan-jalan last time. Eek, that doesn’t mean I pray less than yesterdays.

Ok now, somebody threw me this question and I need to give an answer by Friday.

1. Fitness First health club: My dear friend referred me to them, *ahem* Okay, I was ex-club member. And everybody knows I have failed and they kept silent about it. Thank you for not being up front. So this guy called me during office hour and asked if I would be interested to join them back as they are offering really good deal to me! I was referred and my family member is also a club member so I am entitled up to 20% discount of the normal membership price. The dilemma I am facing is not so much of the financial cost but more of loosing my pride, my dignity, my weighty face value. How do I face him again after my 1st counter, my 2nd session and my 3rd session at Fitness First? Secondly, who will be responsible for keeping me determined to go and spend at least 30 minutes, 4 days a week? Not the trainer nor the guy who called me right?

Darn, I’m indirectly promoting for them. Would I get a referral fee if someone signs up? Folks, don’t take me as an example. Fitness First really worth your money if you like to widen your social circle, if you make use of all the classes and facilities. I failed because I paid more attention to my trainer than focusing on doing treadmill. :p
2. My second concern is… What the heck should I do to celebrate my own silver jubilee anniversary?

Some body please tell me…please.

Updated 18:43GMT+8, 15 September 2006: I just gave him a courtesy call and told him I won’t turn up tonight. He just asked me “WHY” in return. As if I owed him something. Then I said,  I am sorry I couldn’t make it as I am working on my projects. Aside from that, I was not really interested in the promotion, come and think of it I might end up spending more money by paying car park and petrol.   Moreover how can I fork out time to drive out to gymn if every day I finish work around 7.30-8.30?

I told him, “It is ok to have someone say NO to you. Take my rejection positively and keep up your good spirit.” Well, despite his tender of resignation he still did his job by calling people to sign up. That is a good attitude to learn from. :)
