First song of “Word on The Street” is still looping in my mind.
Words & Music: Greg Ferguson
We all want to be free
Free you know
We want to be free
So much left to be freed Lord
Crying out for release
I know it won’t come easily
But give us the courage to believe
Let it take shape inside of me
Lord I want to be free
Know you want to be free
Just another leap, just another little step, just another little leap of faith
Every single day gonna take another step, just another little leap of faith…
I say yeah yeah yeah ….
How to trust in midst of contradiction?

Curtain closed for church most recent musical production “Word on The Street”, it finally comes to an end by having hundreds of souls saved! Praise the Lord!

“Word on The Street” is truly my most enjoyable production I have participated among all. It took months of practices before it was presented on the stage. And it’s really no jokes to coordinate music, choreograph, singing and acting at the same time. We couldn’t do it if without the grace of God. I didn’t take my camera practices seriously in the beginning. I thought the planned camera angles wouldn’t work if it was not played on the real setting. Moreover I was assigned to switch screen at the console area but never thought one of video crews suffered from chicken pox and I had to take over his position. Heck all I did in the practices was just chit chating and imitating the cast singing! All blames to the quirky angel!
Christmas story is the same from two thousand years ago even until today. I am pretty sure most of the churches around the world are spreading the same gospel, sharing the same story - Baby Jesus born of virgin Mary. “Word on The Street” unveiled the contradiction between a young couple who is madly in love and all of sudden his fiance/ girlfriend told him she is pregnant. If it was you, can you trust your partner is innocent? Would you give complete trust to her/him? Even in these days society, this generation has become sceptical of what we know, what we see and hear. It is difficult to get people saved these days. But nothing is hard for God if He made us.
Christianity is more of a faith and a personal relationship with God than being called as a religion. God has no problem to make you believe Him. God has no issues with your sins. God certainly has no problems at all to love you. But God gives us all a choice to believe in Him. And believing in Him takes faith. Would you believe when nothing seems right? Would you jump when you can’t see the bottom? Faith is laying your complete trust in God when you can’t see what’s ahead.
So right now and right where you are partying and having fun, let us all be reminded that love came down to this world in this special Christmas season.
John 3:16
Merry Christmas to you all!
