Sucky & Crappy

One of the challenges you must overcome as a frequent traveller is to get used of sleeping alone in the hotel room.

Until now I still can’t do so. I am in the midst of working on marketing material, next day’s presentation slides, de-brief on the discussion with clients and to cascade the info out to my team members. I can’t seem to get my mind focused as the lights in my room are malfunction. The bed lamp is blinking and the foyer light as well, it’s rather distractive to work. I called the maintanence guy to fix but things seemed to be OK when he was here. The light was obediently functioning well in his presence. Guess what? It’s blinking again. My goodness, it just can’t be the case! My one and only choice to stay in this sucky resort before flying off elsewhere tomorrow morning.

The maintainence guy is here again to fix the room’s problem while I’m blogging this.

I hope I am not scared. I don’t like travelling alone, I definitely don’t like it. I hope it’s just the emptiness and loneliness that had strucked me especially in this vulnerable time. The bigger the size of the bed, the more I hate it. Why sleeping in a king size bed when I’m all alone?

Shhh… don’t answer that for me.

The Quiet & The Noisy

I am not sure what happen to the guys these days.

I have 4 different male friends telling me that they have quiet personalities during the weekend. It’s nothing wrong to be quiet. But I have a hard time accepting the statements they made.

“I can’t talk.”

“I don’t know how to talk.”

“I am afraid I may distort the actual meaning I intended to say.”

“I am not good in relating to people, I’m more of the quiet type.”

“I am tongue-tied.”

Just talk-lah. What’s so difficult to talk? If you don’t talk, I won’t understand what is in your mind. I don’t like making assumptions which will certainly lead to miscommunication later, speaking of the past experience.

If you don’t know what to talk, I’ll give you ideas by asking questions. But if you don’t know how to talk, at least say a few words.

Aren’t we all living in the world of dilemmas. Didn’t I just wish people can speak less sometimes than speaking non-sense without filtering? Words can either tear you down or built you up. We should all think before we say. :)

So quiet men, maybe we are just compatible. You’re listener, I’m a parrot. I accept your quietness and your silence. Would you accept me as who I am too?

Toast to You, Chong Hwa (3)

No No…It’s just a teaser! I am not going to resize all the photos now.

Just let you all have a glimpse of the photos. Will upload the clearer version once I got more time. Hello, every photo is more than 3-4mb. I will die of shrinking them all at one time.

Have a look at Zhi Hung Home!

The finale will come in very very soon!

A virtual farewell gift to the Pai Kia - Zhi Hung! :D

Punctured Tyre

I had a minor accident 2 weeks ago. Many decisions to make in mind, hence I wasn’t paying full attention until I realised I was driving nearly on the opposite direction. There was this car driving towards me, so to escape from being hit I turned the steering back to my lane but I had however ramped over a sharp kerb on the hillside. No big damage, thank God!

Aiks! Punctured Tyre!

I later found out my tyre was punctured. I couldn’t be stopping my car at an isolated hillside to change the spare tyre. I whispered to my leeetle car to hang on until we crawled to the nearest petrol kiosk. I was kinda panic since I had no experience in changing tyres. The old saying “A friend in need is a friend indeed” and the person you call when you’re in urgent need is usually someone you regard as important. So I called ‘him’ for rescue. I was able to get help with his assistance although he didn’t manage to turn up.He sent me an sms advising me to check if the tyre can be patched and get ready of the moolah to replace two tyres. The replacement of two tyres somehow reminded me of a joke my colleague once had said.

“Change tyre sure change both sides lah…!”

“Why?”

“Why?? Have you seen girl with one breast implant?”

“Ya oh!!!! HAHAHAHAHA”

So I got both tyres change changed at the end and I feel safe driving on the road again!

Deprived of Sleep

Is it true that a grown up adult need less and less sleep each day as they grow older? Or is it a better saying that adult lacks more sleep than a kid?

Sleep Sleep Sleep

I find myself deprived of sleep now. 24 hours seem not enough for my normal activity especially I particularly need more than 8 hours daily (if I could) to hibernate.  haha.

Have you got the experience of sleeping in a stretch of 24 hours? Do that if you’re leading a laidback life in four-season countries. Switch off all the room lights, pull down all the curtains and hide yourself under a down quilt. It’s a memorable and money cannot buy experience. Just sleep and sleep and sleep. Make the sleep a truly winter hibernation!

Seriously I have this fantasy to fly abroad and sleep for 1 day and night! I am even thinking about it now. I know I will be satisfied upon my return, very much indeed!
